| Résumé: | This book is an important milestone because it brings together the central aspects of the intellectual production of the last two decades in the fertile field of research that has characterized what we might call the Cali-Barcelona School of developmental psychology. I believe that this systematic effort to understand development from the best available scientific models meets the necessary requirements to justify this classification as a "school". The rigorous exploration of new formal models is firmly rooted in the "Piagetian traditions" from which the school draws, with a coherence and understanding to the last consequences that escapes the hordes of empiricists around the world who continue to resort to "Piagetian situations". |
