Sportverbände erlassen oder ändern regelmäßig die Verbandsstatuten und stellen dabei Regelungen auf, die sich auf Verbandsmitglieder, aber auch Dritte beschränkend auswirken können. Dabei berufen sich Sportverbände zumeist auf die Verbandsautonomie, der allerdings (kartell)rechtliche Grenzen gesetzt sind.
