Der 1920 in Sèvres nahe Paris geschlossene Friedensvertrag mit der Türkei ist, obwohl er niemals in Karft trat, einer der bedeutendsten völkerrechtlichen Verträge unserer Zeit. Auf eine Neugestaltung des Nahen Ostens abzielend ermöglichte er die Ausdehnung des britischen Weltreiches und legte den Grundstein für eine neue Völkerrechtsordnung.
