Summary:Public opinion is increasingly critical of animal husbandry. This dissertation analyses the »factory farming system«, the central area of agricultural policy, from the perspective of constitutional law. The key goal of this investigation is to assess whether factory farming is compatible with the fundamental right to physical integrity as well as the protection of the natural foundations of life and animals as well as its impact on other fundamental rights through zoonoses, such as COVID-19.
