Common and specific characteristics of the two purges, in their different stages, areas, legal framework, sanctions, purging procedure, sanctioned and rehabilitated, and quantitative study, by sanctions, universities and faculties. Comparison of sanctioned and rehabilitated professors and specific comparison of the Universities of Barcelona, Madrid, Murcia and Valencia, as well as the number of professors exiled from both sides and those who remained in exile during the Franco regime.
