In a transcendental way, the figure of the professors and lecturers of Political Economy and Statistics is dealt with, scrutinising teaching aspects, programmes elaborated in different periods and exams. As well as the grants awarded to students, the associations that were formed and the initial development of museums and libraries. All of this with the intention of demonstrating the great importance of University College London in the spectrum of higher education in the United Kingdom, with a liberal ideology and distancing itself from the discriminatory models of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. |
