Beskrivelse
Summary:Víctor Tau Anzoátegui (1933-2022) was one of the most outstanding legal historians in Argentina. From a very young age he chose to dedicate himself to historical research, forming and being part of the renewal of his discipline since the 1950s. Dr. Tau's academic career went beyond the borders of his native country and he became an international reference together with Antonio Manuel Hespanha, Bartolomé Clavero and Paolo Grossi. With them, among others, he shared and was part of the critical history of law. His book Casuismo y Sistema. Indagación histórica sobre el espíritu del Derecho Indiano is one of the many works of reference that reflected his enormous knowledge of the otherness of the law of past societies. This tribute book brings together outstanding researchers who, based on various postulates of Víctor Tau, face and continue the task carried out, not only by a historian of law, but also by a true master for several generations of historians.
