Zusammenfassung:The book summarises the results of 15 years of studies on ground beetles after the conversion from conventional to organic farming on the Ritzerau farm (south-eastern Schleswig-Holstein, Germany) for the recorded ground beetle species in detail as well as the development of species diversity in general. In his study, Ulrich Irmler shows that organic farming not only has a positive effect on the farmland itself from a nature conservation point of view, but also has an impact on the neighbouring ecosystems.
