Summary:The Siete Partidas of Alfonso X, a peak of medieval Castilian law, had a significant impact as a cultural production throughout the Late Middle Ages. Hundreds of books with different formats, uses, and functions were created, many of which are currently preserved in national and international libraries and archives. Despite its relevance, except for some publications focused on the most important and well-known manuscripts, until recently, there had been no comprehensive analysis of the codices and fragments of the Partidas. This publication provides the research community with a reasoned catalog of the codices and fragments from the 13th to 15th centuries that make up this corpus. The catalog is structured with individualized entries where each testimony is analyzed in terms of its materiality, writing, composition, dating, and context. It also includes the history of each copy, with a special focus on its illumination. This catalog aims to serve as a tool for future studies on Alfonso X's legislative work.
