Das so entstandene Buch wartet mit überraschend vielen neuen Erkenntnissen auf. So lässt sich etwa mit Sicherheit konstatieren, dass das lange Zeit als mittelalterliches Geburtsjahr Bordesholms gefeierte und memorierte Jahr 1327 einer quellenbasierten Überprüfung nicht standzuhalten vermag.
