| Резюме: | The genetic makeup of a person has been found to influence their response to several drugs. Pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics provide useful information in this respect and are important tools for tailoring personalized and precision medicine. This book provides recent literature on the role of genetic variants in drug response in some drug therapies. It includes an introductory chapter giving an overview of the role of the pharmacogenomics and pharmacogenetics of various drug therapies in different diseases such as cardiovascular disease, psychiatric disorders, and cancers. The book also includes chapters on the pharmacogenetics of aspirin, type 2 diabetes, the human Nat2 gene, and cardiovascular diseases.
