| Shrnutí: | The book presents a general situation of disabled persons in Poland, seen from the perspective of social, economic and political changes under way. The publication shows various spheres of activity of disabled persons, considering the support system and its institutional background, as well as the structural limitations and social barriers. The motive behind creation of the book was first of all its practical and clarifying character. It is the author’s intention for the publication to pose a compendium of knowledge on disability and persons with disabilities, especially in the dimension of various activities they undertake. The book is addressed to representatives of sciences, first of all MA and PhD students as well as practitioners, especially to persons employed in entities of social welfare, support institutions, and in non-governmental organizations, whose major or one of the most significant spheres of operation is activation and social rehabilitation of disabled persons. |
