Published Nahezu zwei Jahrzehnte lang war Prof. Dr. Uwe Schaper als Direktor des Landesarchivs Berlin am Eichborndamm tätig. Aus Anlass seiner Verabschiedung in den Ruhestand, die im Sommer 2024 bevorsteht, ist die Festschrift »Zukunftsort Archiv« entstanden. Sie wirft einen Blick auf das vielfältige berufliche Schaffen des zu Ehrenden und würdigt seine großen Verdienste um die Berliner Archivlandschaft. In vier Teilen werden 17 ausgewählte Beiträge Uwe Schapers neu abgedruckt, die sein Wirken als Archivar, Historiker, Ausbilder und Wissenschaftsmanager dokumentieren. Die Aufsätze zeigen innovative Ansätze der Archivarbeit auf und halten aufschlussreiche historische Analysen bereit, die seit ihrer Entstehung nichts an Aktualität verloren haben.
