Riassunto:Global food production is in jeopardy as potential yields are reaching saturation and biotic and abiotic pressures proliferate both spatially and temporally, unable to keep pace with population growth. In order to address the climate crisis and the loss of agrobiodiversity while ensuring sustainable food security, it has become essential to mobilize trans-disciplinary enterprises that promote integrative agendas amongst the otherwise fragmented fields of molecular genetics, plant breeding, genetic conservation, physiology, ecology, seed delivery, and food policy.
