| Summary: | In 2024, in Latin America, feminist and women's mobilisations against impunity for gender-based violence continue to have unprecedented strength, as demonstrated year after year by the large marches on 8M. However, this latest wave of feminist mobilisations has highlighted that, despite recent changes in legislation, gender-based violence continues to occur and develop. The anti-feminist backlash also grows stronger, and finds powerful political-partisan links. This e-book, edited by the Centro de Estudios Mexicanos y Centroamericanos (CEMCA) and presented in Open Edition, aims to contribute to the history of the politicization of gender-based violence, by translating into Spanish texts initially written in French, following research carried out by French and Spanish-speaking researchers in Mesoamerica between 2000 and 2010. |
