Περίληψη:The revolution of 1848 in France marked a turning point for the contemporaries who lived through it. Many of the authors whom posterity was to regard as great writers and philosophers took a stance on this revolution, all aware that it was not only a major event in national history, but also an entry into modern history. The aim of this book is to retrace the different positions taken by some of the best-known observers of the period: Marie d'Agoult, Balzac, Louis Blanc, Comte, Victor Cousin, Flaubert, Herzen, Lamartine, Marx, Michelet, Raspail and Lorenz von Stein.
