Özet:This book explores the future of metropolises in the light of today's social and environmental issues by mobilizing several disciplines - architecture, urban planning, landscape, geography and agronomy - and by bringing together researchers, professionals and students. The Franco-Luxembourg situation is taken as a metropolitan context exacerbated by the border effect: in the first part, this particular situation is detailed, amplified by the differences in governance, taxation, land prices, which induce singular practices. The second part presents the hypotheses formulated by the students of the master 2 "Architecture, city and territory" of the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Nancy around a territorial, urban, architectural and landscape project. Through projections to 2050, the aim is to propose alternatives to the current urban sprawl which takes the form of the housing development. The third part presents a synthesis of three situated experiments. Finally, the fourth part of the work outlines an agri-urban approach by questioning the symbolic and functional place of agriculture which organizes the landscape.
