description Title in English: Parasites of free-living ruminants: Conference abstract book Invasive parasites can affect the health of native wildlife species and threaten their populations. To minimise these risks, it is essential to develop effective diagnostic methods and a comprehensive control strategy. As part of the TAČR project "Spread of invasive parasite species and their overwhelming impact on the biodiversity of native ruminant species", a team of researchers from three universities developed advanced molecular methods for detecting invasive parasites and carried out extensive monitoring of invasive gastrointestinal parasitoses in wild ruminants from all regions of the Czech Republic. At the conference "Parasites of wild ruminants", the team will present the results of the three-year study, including information on outbreaks of invasive parasites, analyse the risks associated with their spread and present a strategic and sustainable plan for their control.
