| Riassunto: | This volume stems from a research project aimed at elaborating a mapping of documentary film production in Sardinia from the beginning of the new millennium to the present and is dedicated to this specific cinematographic and audiovisual sphere, which is in evident expansion on the production level and marked by a remarkable variety and richness on the formal side. The growth of documentary filmmaking in the very last decades, propitiated by a series of concomitant factors arising from targeted legislative interventions and the activity of various bodies and institutions, has contributed to enhancing the cultural, landscape and professional resources of the Island, giving rise to very significant outcomes rich in multiple spillovers. For this reason, the perspective adopted in the various contributions included in this book is necessarily multidisciplinary and is based on the adoption of differentiated skills, capable of grasping the historical, aesthetic, linguistic and cultural aspects of the phenomenon investigated, together with those of a socieconomic nature and related to market logics.
The objective is to provide the coordinates of the production context in which documentaries are made, but also to offer a well-defined and up-to-date cognitive framework, available to a potentially vast audience of users, contemplating those working in the sector, local and regional administrators, university and independent researchers, companies and entities (public and private). Finally, the contents of this volume are to be considered complementary to the data base containing the quantitative data of the census carried out, which led to the identification of hundreds of titles made during the period in question, publicly available for consultation at https://cinema.dh.unica.it/mados/ |
