| Özet: | This book seeks to present the capabilities developed by the Cavalry of the Colombian National Army to face the challenges of complex and changing threats. In this sense, the Light Cavalry Brigade (BLICA), as a result of the strategic context in which the political, social, economic and military dimensions are analyzed, is the answer to face the hybrid threats faced by the Colombian State.
Therefore, this book explains the raison d'être of the Cavalry, why it differs from the other functions of warfare, why armored vehicles are used, why the BLICA was created within the process of transformation of wide area security and combined arms, why it is used against terrorism and what are its scenarios in the face of multidimensional threats.
The book aims to present the findings and analysis of the arguments that led to the creation and activation of the Light Cavalry Brigade and how this new organization has improved mobility and security conditions throughout the national territory. To this end, the document is divided into four chapters that describe the nature of the military unit and provide an understanding of the dynamics of the conflict from different perspectives. |
