description Emotions are classified from a biological, social, psychological, complex, basic, primary and secondary approach. The objective was to find a theoretical explanation of the relationship of singing with the management of primary emotions and to provide a program using it as a benefit for emotions. Its methodological design responds to a pre-experimental investigation, due to its quantitative type, its scope is descriptive. The sample is represented by 24 students from the 1st cycle of the music workshop of the Faculty of Life and Health Sciences of the National University of Trujillo in 2021. A questionnaire was applied to measure emotions taken from Rodríguez’s proposal, Oñate & Mesurado, which, although it had already been applied in 2017, was validated by a psychologist and subjected to the Cronbach Alpha reliability test process, resulting in a level of variance of 0.74, that is, a range of excellent reliability. A questionnaire was applied at the beginning and end of each session and the details of the experience were recorded through an anecdotal guide. The most outstanding results show that there was a problem of lack of control of emotions, reflected in 16% of students, however, after the proposal, where they sang alone-group, in the corner of their neighborhood with a friend, in class karaoke, imitated singing artists and guessed songs, their comments, videos and products expressed that 95% felt positive primary emotions with the experience, demonstrating as a conclusion that the program was qualitatively and quantitatively efficient.
