| Sumari: | The study examines the environmental impact in the Jequetepeque district, with the aim of understanding the problem and proposing sustainable solutions. The methodology used was the ethnographic method because a problem was understood and described in depth through the perception of its members. It consisted of applying 24 interviews to various local actors, carried out by students from the professional school of social work of the National University of Trujillo, occurred in four phases: group formation, question formulation, interviews and writing of results. The results reveal a worrying situation due to environmental degradation, lack of management of natural resources and violation of human rights. Problems were identified such as lack of drinking water and drainage, inadequate solid waste management and lack of health services. Proposed strategies include awareness raising, community collaboration, environmental education, and seeking financial and government support. The study concludes that addressing environmental impact requires a comprehensive approach that engages the community, promotes environmental awareness, and seeks sustainable solutions for a healthier future in Jequetepeque. |
