Resumo:The objectives of this work are: to make known the link between Roman law and the Peruvian Constitution of 1867 and to understand in depth the relevance and legacy of this Magna Carta in the Peruvian historical context. The aspects considered for the respective analysis were: citizenship and immigration, religion, individual guarantees and public force. That is why a review of different texts was carried out: theses, books, articles, etc. And it was concluded that Roman law had a significant presence in the Peruvian constitution of 1867 and in the country's legislation at that time.
