The second part presents a very significant set of entails’ registers, with records from the 15th to the 19th centuries, made from the last decades of the 16th century onwards and located in the Tombo's aftermath, testifying to the long and territorially broad continuity of the t”tombação” of the “property of souls” in the upper Alentejo region. Preceded by an introduction narrating the process and characterising the documentation, it provides researchers with unprecedented and substantial information, in the form of a list with thousands of entries, containing the main elements of historical and archival research. |
