| Shrnutí: | This Reprint aims to provide the latest information on the synthesis and physicochemical and biological properties of different active biomedical materials, namely ceramics, polymers, nanoparticles, and composites, and their applications. They are designed to heal and restore the functions of people recovering after diseases or injuries. They repair or replace a specific biological function of dysfunctional tissues. Experts from different research fields share their ideas and report findings in this Reprint.
