| الملخص: | Beginning with early contributions by Maria Giovanna Piras, formerly a researcher in the Department of National Accounts at Istat, this volume documents the most recent developments in the sources and methods used to estimate the main macroeconomic aggregates and the analysis of their trends. The contents focus on the following topics: (i) strategy and communication of policies for the revision of national accounts and underlying indicators, adopted by Istat in accordance with European standards; (ii) new sources and models for their integration into the estimation of labor input of national accounts, so as to ensure their articulated representation according to the different components, including irregular and territorial (iii) labor market outcomes, demographic trends, and the growth of the Italian economy over the medium term, highlighting economic policy challenges to raise productivity, together fostering income convergence among regions; (iv) the use of new data sources and econometric techniques to preserve the accuracy of short-term forecasts despite recent exceptional events that have strengthened the transmission of global factors to cyclical conditions in a country. |
