Shows the fate of politicians, local government officials, civic leaders and the soldiers; nationalists christian democrats, piłsudskites and socialists. Authors portray people, for which Lodz has become the springboard to great politics, the most important function of State and in the Polish Army, and those who remained local prominent political and social activists. Some of them were indigenous people of Lodz, others have tied up with Lodz at various stages of life. All, however - though in different areas – formed the history of Lodz: its political, social, economic and cultural life. |
