Sumari:The following volume includes the translations of three essays by Benedetto Croce, an outstanding Italian philosopher of the 20th century liberal thought, including Risveglio filosofico e la cultura italiana (Reawakening of philosophy and Italian culture, 1908), Perché non possiamo non dirci cristiani (Why we cannot help calling ourselves Christians, 1942) and L’intraducibilità della rievocazione (Untranslability of reenactment, 1936) provided by Łukasz Jan Berezowski and Katarzyna Muszyńska. The original versions were primarily issued in La Critica. Rivista di Letteratura, Storia e Filosofia, a journal edited by Benedetto Croce in the years 1903–1944. The presented work is accompanied by a historical and philological commentary of the editor as well as a list of printed references related to Croce (both source texts and critical commentaries available for Polish language).
