Özet:The aim of the report is to analyse the activities of the Japanese government to date regarding support for war refugees from Ukraine after Russia's aggression against that country in February 2022, and to compare these activities with the situation of Ukrainians in Poland – the country that hosted the largest group of war refugees. By identifying the most important needs of refugees, aid organizations and host entities, the report provides recommendations for Japanese political and humanitarian institutions. Their goal is to direct humanitarian aid more precisely to places and organizations in the region of Central and Eastern Europe that are in the biggest need for support. The report is based on analysis of information from governments, business entities and NGOs involved in helping people fleeing Ukraine to Poland and Japan. Attention is also paid to the activity of Japanese diplomatic missions operating in the countries receiving the largest number of forced migrants.
