| Summary: | Sports organizations of different levels and from different sports similarly to other enterprises, i.e. manufacturing or service companies, pursue various business objectives as part of their activities. Among sports goals, they also pursue economic and management goals and optimize the processes they implement. Therefore, logistics also has its place in this area. Sports logistics is still a relatively new issue and is not often addressed by authors. In the Polish literature, the area related to logistics in sports is mainly focused on the organization of mass events, neglecting the rest of the aspects. This prompted the authors of this study to take up the present issue considering it as a research gap. The main objective set by the authors of this study was to try to define sports logistics taking into account its basis in the disciplines of logistics management and sports management. |
