description The history of western theatre shows the deep heritage established over the centuries with classical culture. The Spanish twentieth century is a good example of this, as can be seen from the study of one of the myths of classical tradition put on the scene by the Athenian authors. The tragedy of Agamemnon from the death of the hero to the revenge of his descendants, is the only myth that we have preserved works by the three tragic Greeks and Seneca. The masterful dramatic treatment of the esquilea trilogy opens the way to a wide range of reelaborations and reinterpretations that extend to the current theatre in which themes, characters and structures are profoundly transformed and renewed. The study of this process and the new perspectives from which the playwright faces this mythical core centre the pages of this book
