Özet:The legal legacy of Rome is not based only on the set of norms that the sources have transmitted to us, but also in the jurisdictional and judicial organization that allowed its application. This book analyzes how Iurisdictio was understood in Rome, the competition problems that arose between the various magistrates and judges, and the criteria used for their attribution. Address, territory, amount or subject of the litigation will determine the application competence criteria that, together with privileged personal statutes or the ius domus revocandi, are placed in relation to the Alfonsina jurisdiction and the current Civil Procedure Law. The study of jurisdictional competition, from the foundation of Rome to Justinian, allows to know the phenomenon of reception in Europe and its subsequent influence on medieval legislation and current law, becoming a powerful tool for the analysis of comparative law.
