Riassunto:In these last decades there have been radical changes in the socioeconomic situation of our territory. These changes have undoubtedly influenced decisively in research, conservation and especially in the management of the biodiversity of the Iberian southeast. In addition, new approaches in the management of natural resources such as custody of the territory, green infrastructure and advances in environmental restoration, united to the application of the development of community environmental legislation (Water Framework Directive, Bird Habitats and Directive Directive) and state (Law 42/2007) open hollow between the traditional policies for the protection of spaces and species, whose application and development are still incomplete in the scope of the Iberian southeast. This new reality draws a changing and different panorama, where managers, researchers, environmental organizations and society as a whole must adapt to embroider with real and concrete solutions the biodiversity crisis, one of the symptoms of global change. This book includes thirty -four selected works presented to the V Congress of the Nature of the Region of Murcia and II Congress of the Nature of the Iberian Southeast, which deal with different aspects of biodiversity and ecological processes in the terrestrial environment as aquatic, theManagement and conservation of nature in the southeast peninsular, which reveal the rich biodiversity that provides adaptation to these environmental conditions.
