description What did Francisco Rizi’s Auto de Fe and Claudio Coello’s La Sagrada Forma have in common? Who was wearing the goblin and who the jacket? These and other questions will be answered in this brief aesthetic history. Spain dress the French. The story of a fashion suit from the second half of the 17th century takes you on a tour of the Spanish capital and reveals the true meaning of clothing, as well as the vetos and alliances protagonists of the late 17th century. It also shows the evolution of characters such as the Marquis de Lapilla, Juan José de Austria and Fernando de Valenzuela who exhibited these hegemonic outfits as ostentation of rank and social class itself. Was the jacket really a simple French fashion item or was it an element of Gaulish supremacy?
