| Gaia: | The present work tries to provide a series of strategies and resources to bring heritage to education, mainly in the field of formal education.Starting from the fact that both education and heritage are defined, today, as social constructs that must be understood globally and holistically, among them a bidirectional relationship is established that is beneficial for both parties (heritage is used as an educational resourcecontextualized, which can have an educational and sentimental value for those who study it, since it serves as a source that offers living information about the past; and its use in the classrooms serves as a diffusion element and the value of such heritage in significant contexts in significant contextsand effective, where it is given a true value). 'Strategies and resources for the integration of heritage and museums in formal education' is divided into two large blocks: the first block is intended for work in which the museum (both outside and within the classroom) is the main protagonist in theIntroduction of heritage in social science classes. The work with physical and virtual museums, national and local museums, artistic and historical museums, public and private museums ... It is what we will find in different proposals in which it is revealed that students can come into contact with the heritage in a wayeffective and significant. Either through school departures to visit museums or through the creation of museums in the classroom, museum spaces become an essential educational resource in the contributions of this block. In the second part of this book research and/or proposals are collected in which different strategies and resources are shown so that the heritage is used in the classroom.In this block other resources are collected, other than the museum, which are used for the introduction of heritage in teaching.On the one hand, we find works in which new resources are shown (especially technological) and, on the other, since not everything is yet to invent, we find proposals in which new uses are given to resources that were not giving the expected results."That new use of what has already been invented, is a change in methodological strategies, both inside and outside the classrooms, with the aim of being able to introduce heritage into the teachings and in the learning of history." |
