| description | Currently, animals assisted with animals (IAA) have experienced a boom, the result of the success of their treatments in large number of diseases and affective problems.However, training and research in this field are still scarce.However, universities are already beginning to offer different programs and lines of research, which allow satisfying the current demand.In this sense, the International University of the Sea (UNIMAR) has organized different courses in this line, with the participation of the company Centauro Quiron of animal therapies. In order to further deepen this line, the International University of the Sea (UNIMAR) organizes this Symposium, with the aim of updating and putting in common the different lines of action and research in the interventions assisted with animals, at the national level andinternational. The addressed themes are: - Animal therapies: current projects and scientific evidence. - Assistance dogs: training and assistance programs. - Welfare and rehabilitation of therapy and assistance animals. - Affective computing.Emotional robots. These four themes are addressed by professionals of recognized prestige, nationally and internationally, which exhibit the latest advances in this area. It is an encounter between professionals and society, and with it the approach of these therapies to all interested persons. |
