Happiness INC. is a proposal that parodies, through perverse logic, the universal ideal with which we refer to happiness. Through the accumulation of stuffed animals - the more the better - a spectacular simulation of the positive occurs; a version of happiness that points out its association with consumption. From the main niche hangs the text The Capital by Karl Marx, translated into traditional Chinese with Google Translate and printed on ticket paper. The origin of the manufacture of the objects (China) and their production conditions - both for people and the environment - undoubtedly move away from the ideal that these objects nurture in the imagination of a global happy childhood. |
