Deskribapena
Gaia:The book analyzes the role of the soul in the philosophy of the first scholars of the ancient Academy after Plato, Speusippus and Xenocrates, reconstructing their doctrines through fragmentary, indirect and often controversially interpreted testimonies. In the light of the rigorous historical-critical and systematic method, the links between psychology, "ontology", cosmology, epistemology and ethics are investigated here, highlighting the theoretical innovations with respect to Plato and the old academic debate. This is a work that attempts to fill a gap in studies, offering new research perspectives on ancient psychology.
