Čoahkkáigeassu:Bicentenary of the Constitution of Jalisco of 1824. Instituciones y legado is a collective work that analyses, from the perspective of the history of law, some of the main institutions that originated in the Political Constitution of the Free and Sovereign State of Jalisco of 18 November 1824. This constitutional charter was the first to be decreed among all those emanating from the federative entities that made up the Mexican Republic, just a few weeks after the entry into force of the Federal Constitution of the United Mexican States on 4 October of the same year. Two hundred years after its promulgation, Jalisco's first Magna Carta still presents valuable veins of research, the importance of which motivated us to undertake the task of filling certain historiographical gaps, through the eleven chapters that make up the work, grouped into five thematic axes: Administration of Justice, Constitutional Control, Church-State Relations, Public Finance and Education.
