Description
Summary:in which social workers work in Valle del Cauca, taking into account the characteristics of the state, private, and third-sector labor markets. The data analyzed are the result of a mixed research project that combined qualitative techniques such as interviews and quantitative techniques such as surveys. This study was conducted in a descriptive and exploratory manner, as this research has not yet been conducted in Valle del Cauca. The analytical perspective used to develop this research draws on the critical literature produced in Latin America to understand the structural causes of the profession's emergence and how interventions are adapting to socioeconomic changes in society. Among the findings is that Valle del Cauca, like Colombia, is facing a process of market precarization for social professionals that, in addition to affecting the lives of individuals, impacts the disciplinary specificity of the profession.
