Sumari:If we review the history of Colotlan, we will see that its founding and its entire trajectory as a town, municipality, and region have been sponsored by different migratory flows that have contributed to the formation of the migrant imaginary. The scenarios have been led by the original peoples, in the Spanish foundation, by the Tlaxcalans and Spaniards, and from here on by all the movements that have given direction and entity to our country, independence movement, civil wars, Mexican Revolution, religious and peasant wars, and in contemporary times, migratory movements to the United States and other cities in Mexico and other countries. One of the positive aspects of doing these studies, and in agreement with Paula Vera, (2018) is that "it offers the possibility of analyzing the social constructions of meaning and, with it, denaturalizing hegemonic precepts and common senses that are presented as innate issues, essential to the human and the social"
