Shrnutí:Asynchronies in mechanical ventilation are a process that can interfere with ventilation with the patient in critical condition. These may be due to problems in the patient (neuronal) or due to the programming of mechanical ventilation. Asynchrony can occur during ventilator triggering, in the inspiration period after triggering, in the transition from inspiration to expiration, and in the expiratory phase. Asynchronies decrease comfort, prolong mechanical ventilation, increase the stay in the Intensive Care Unit and may increase mortality. Therefore, it is important to understand and correct the cause of the asynchrony and thus provide adequate pulmonary ventilation.
