Summary:The work of socially impacting the vulnerable population of health services with basic primary care and promotion and prevention actions. On the part of the volunteering of doctors, graduates and students of the faculties of health are actions that are more than altruistic; o fulfill the doctor’s promise “NOT TO ALLOW considerations of age, illness or disability, creed, ethnic origin, gender, nationality, political affiliation, race, sexual orientation, social class or any other factor to come between my duties and my patient” (1); They are actions of good will that are wel-come given the characteristics of our health system that is so questioned, criticized and sometimes even negatively judged in its true causes that are not implicit in its procedural actions but that are inherently present.Nowadays, the health brigades look more through the magnifying glass of compliance with a quantitative objective of an administrative and gov-ernment policy and/or health indicators, which sometimes are far from social reality; where health policies present coverage data but we find sub-registration and population still to be registered and unprotected of all rights in their well-being and health.
