| Shrnutí: | The proposal for a university volunteer program at Universi-dad Santiago de Cali is framed within the United Nations Global Com-pact initiative, with the purpose of linking undergraduate and graduate students with a vocation for social service to strengthen actions from the substantive functions of teaching, research and extension that con-tribute to the mission, vision and principles of the institutional strate-gic platform, especially theuniversity social responsibility. Likewise, the university volunteering will be a form of social aid carried out by the Santiago community to contribute to the transformation of society, through human capital and the use of various material and technologi-cal resources available to the institution, in addition to its network of al-lies in the public and private sector with which it works in an articulated manner, assuming in a co-responsible manner the commitment to im-pact the social development of the southwestern part of Colombia. |
