| Özet: | The heart is an organ of membranous muscle composition, in charge of receiving and pumping blood to the body. It is located in the middle mediastinum, surrounded by pericardium. Made up of 4 chambers (2 atria and 2 ventricles), separated by the cardiac septum, which physiologically divides the heart into a “right heart” and a “left heart”. The atrial and ventricular chambers are separated by the atrioventricular valves. On the right side the tricuspid valve and on the left side the mitral valve. Control of the flow of the aorta artery is given by the aortic valve (semilunar), the site where the coronary arteries emerge. The right coronary artery arises from the right coronary sinus, while the left coronary artery from the left coronary sinus. The dominance of the cardiac supply determines the anatomical pattern of coronary supply to the posterior region of the heart. The dominance of the coronary system is defined according to the artery emerging from the posterior interventricular branch (ADP). The cardiac electrical conduction system is made up of a set of specialized cells that initiate the heartbeat and coordinate the contraction of the cardiac chambers. This system is generally initiated by stimuli at the sinus atrial (SA) node. Cardiac output is the product of heart rate (HR) and stroke volume (SV). Heart rate is more commonly defined as the number of times the heart beats in one minute and is regulated by activity of the autonomic nervous system. |
