Yhteenveto:Anginal pain requiring surgical intervention most frequently resulted in death. The greatest advance in coronary bypass surgery was achieved between the 1930s and 1960s. Chest surgeons who dedicated themselves to surgeries for the sequelae of tuberculosis and performed thoracoplasties managed to help advance coronary revascularization surgery. From Alexis Carrel, who performed a coronary bypass on a dog, placing a conduit between the aorta artery and the coronary vessels, to the Russian surgeon in Leningrad Vasilii Kolesov, in 1964, who performed the first mammary anastomosis in the coronary artery, and Favaloro who perfected the technique and performed coronary bypass surgeries on many people. Many researchers contribute their experience and contributions in vascular surgery to achieve rapid advances in a relatively short time. Subsequently, multiple studies emerged that consolidated coronary revascularization surgery as having great impact in coronary patients with precise indications. Stent implantation vs. Coronary bypass is still valid in the management of ischemic heart disease. Each of them with precise indications according to the number and vessels involved.
