Summary:This article presents important findings in relation to two research proj-ects, the first related to the systematization of historical memory expe-riences and collective memory constructed by people who make up vic-tims’ organizations in the municipalities of Caldono and Cajibio, Cauca. And the second, related to the documentation of the psychosocial effects of the armed conflict, cultural trauma and effects of the healing group in indigenous organizations of the Nasa people of northern Cauca. The two projects arise within the framework of transitional justice derived from the challenge that Colombia faces in the framework of the implementa-tion of the peace agreements, after its signing in 2016 with the Revolution-ary Armed Forces of Colombia – People’s Army (FARC-EP). As objectives, the research sought two purposes, first, to systematize the processes of historical memory and its relationship with the traumatic memory gen-erated from the experience of suffering. Second, identify the socio-or-ganizational success factors that these communities have had to process the effects of the armed conflict and continue with economic processes within the territories.Methodologically, group case studies were carried out with 16 indigenous and peasant organizations and communities. A narrative design was de-veloped based on two phases, the application of group techniques such as social cartographies and focus groups, and individual meetings with leaders. The information was processed through content and discourse analysis using Atlas ti software as support. As conclusions, it is identified that there are psychosocial effects derived from systematic exposure to armed conflict that agree with the configuration of a traumatic memory, which presents effects on the social bond; however, factors such as resilience, value-added initiatives, the support networks and resilience that support the key factors of socio-organizational performance, which represent for communities a possibility of processing their experience of suffering.
