Summary:Binnen het Leiden-Delft-Erasmus onderzoekscentrum Governance of Migration and Diversity (LDE GMD) is ervaren hoe belangrijk het is om migratie en migratie-gerelateerde diversiteit te bezien vanuit verschillende perspectieven en disciplines. LDE GMD beseft hoe belangrijk het is dat een historicus spreekt met een ingenieur, een cultuursocioloog met een econoom, of een jurist met een bestuurskundige. Die praktijk wordt doorgetrokken in deze bundel en buiten de wetenschapppelijke disciplines. Daarom is er bewust voor gekozen om wetenschappers te koppelen aan vertegenwoordigers uit de praktijk, om te zien welke verschillende werelden en nieuwe perspectieven er dan ontstaan. Hoe verschillend of overeenkomstig zijn bepaalde beelden en wat ontstaat er als je met elkaar in gesprek gaat? Deze bundel richt zich op bijdragen aan de Nederlandse situatie en discussie. Deze bundel is bedoeld voor (stedelijke) bestuurders, beleidsmakers, migranten[1]organisaties, koepels (FNV, VNG, Aedes), kennisorganisaties (Platform31, Movisie) en andere vertegenwoordigers uit de praktijk die de uitdagingen van de migratiestad moeten aangaan in beleid en uitvoering. English Summary: Within the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Research Center Governance of Migration and Diversity (LDE GMD), it has been perceived how important it is to consider migration and migration-related diversity from different perspectives and disciplines. LDE GMD realizes how important it is for a historian to speak with an engineer, a cultural sociologist with an economist, or a lawyer with a public administration expert. That practice continues throughout this volume and beyond the scientific disciplines. That is why a conscious decision was made to pair scientists with representatives from the field, to see what different worlds and new perspectives then emerge. How different or similar are certain images and what emerges when you engage in conversation with each other? This volume focuses on contributions to the Dutch situation and discussion. This bundle is intended for (urban) administrators, policy makers, migrant organizations, umbrella organizations (FNV, VNG, Aedes), knowledge organizations (Platform31, Movisie) and other practitioner representatives who have to face the challenges of the migration city in policy and implementation.
