Shrnutí:Representationalism, phenomenalism, and direct realism are three philosophical positions that urge us to understand differently the nature of the object of our perceptions, the relationship between the perceived world and the world understood by the sciences, and finally our own relationship with the reality to which we belong. These positions are analyzed and understood by starting from three paradoxes, to which correspond three different solutions, which are described and argued from three classical places in the philosophy of perception: Locke, Berkeley, and Austin. The intention of the book is mainly didactic, and yet page after page a theoretical proposal takes shape: the design of a direct realism that is nevertheless explicitly located only on the phenomenological-descriptive terrain.
