Proprio Friedrich Albert Lange fu infatti tra i primi a richiamare l’attenzione sulla filosofia schilleriana, vedendo in essa un modo per riportare in auge la filosofia pratica kantiana e al tempo stesso evitare gli scivolamenti verso la metafisica che caratterizzavano l’etica di Kant e, a seguire, la filosofia idealistica.
